Lara Jansen ran a smart race and moved up throughout the entire 3 mile race at Hayward High. She ran a quick 19:07 finishing in 10th place and earned a spot to the State Championships in Fresno. Hayley Swanson ran 19:18 setting the school record for fastest junior on the course.

Three boys earned the honors because of their incredible performance on Saturday as they all broke the 16 minute barrier. Alex Summers ran 15:43 setting the school record for fastest sophomore. Drew Callen ran 15:50 setting the school record for fastest junior. Nathaniel Smauley ran 15:56 becoming the second fastest junior Matador.

These performances helped both teams take 3rd place at the NCS Championships.
