Sarah Herbeck, aka The Destroyer, obliterated the field on Saturday during the EBAL Championships in the Frosh-Soph Girls’ Race. Herbeck covered the course in a blazing 12:44 beating the field by 16 seconds. When asked by Coach Mattern how she felt during the race, Sarah replied “scared.” “I was in the lead,” said Herbeck, “and I didn’t want to get passed so I pushed it (the pace) the whole way.” Her first place finish propelled the FS Girls’ into a 4th place finish.
