During the past eight days, four athletes have demonstrated not only their athleticism but also their desire to succeed as a team. This week we honor sophomores Drew Callen, Andrew Budiman, and Ramzy DeCastro as well as freshman Alex Summers with Matador of the Week.

At Hampton-Phillips, this foursome won the F/S Distance Medley in the rain and wind in an impressive time of 11:14.07. On Thursday they had strong efforts in Granada’s victory against Amador Valley. Callen ran 10:11 in the 3200M, Budiman ran 4:43 in the 1600M, DeCastro ran 10:40 in the 3200M and Summers ran 4:47 in the 1600M. At Bay Area Top 8, Alex won the F/S Day Meet 800M in 2:08 and Ramzy took 5th in 2:11. In the Top 8 Night Meet, Drew Callen won the 800M in 2:04 and Andrew took 5th in 2:07. Congratulations!
